The goods I want are not in my local store, can they be transferred to my local store?
Generally yes. Requests are processed by your local store, so you will need to pay them a visit and request a ‘store request transfer’. Transfers are not guaranteed, but we will do our best to source your item.
How can I tell if CeX has the goods I want?
On any page of the website type your keyword into the search box; you can then refine your search until you find the product you want. Clicking on the product will then show you which stores have stock, and the quantity they have available. This information is displayed in the top right-hand corner.
Is the stock on the website accurate?
Yes, the stock on the website is live. However, please note this does not take into account any items that have been reserved in store, so it is best to
Customer Services before heading down.

What do I need to sell goods to a CeX store?
You need to become a member, which is completely free. Please view our Membership Requirements.
I’m not happy with the level of service I have received, what can I do?
Tell us! Without your feedback we don’t know where we are going right or going wrong. All feedback is used to continually improve the quality of service we provide.
I’m worried that buying 2nd hand goods means that they are not as good as new.
Relax; all goods we buy in are subject to testing and covered under warranty for a whole 12 months (excluding consumables, which are warranted for 28 days). Still stressed? We will also exchange unwanted items bought in a store within two days when accompanied with a receipt, provided it is in the same condition you purchased it in.
Will your games work on my non-UK system?
Our video games are PAL (UK and Europe) versions, and as such you must have a PAL video game system to play them. We do not sell imported video games. All PC (Computer) products that we sell should work on any PC system, provided it matches at least the minimum requirements to play the game (minimum requirements are viewable on the product pages for PC games, or alternatively on the box.)
What about DVDs?
We only sell Region 2 DVDs, or Region 0 DVD that have been classified by the BBFC. There are six world Regions for DVD - Region 2 covers the UK, Europe, The Middle East and Japan. Discs manufactured in one region will usually only play on players that were manufactured for sale in the same region, so discs bought in the USA will not play on UK players and vice versa. Please check your DVD manual, or with the manufacturer, if in doubt.
Why are some phones of the same make and model different prices?
We charge different prices depending on the condition of our phones. We break this down into three grades:
Mint - Working phone in as new/mint condition. Complete with original box and accessories as sold new.
Good - Working phone in good condition with slight cosmetic blemishes. Charger supplied. If the phone includes a music player/radio then it is supplied with headphones. If the phone has PDA functionality a sync cable and/or docking cradle is supplied. Missing original packaging.
Poor - Working phone in poor cosmetic condition. Original or 3rd party charger supplied but missing accessories and original packaging.
Will the phone I buy work on any network?
Each phone listed on our website will display the network it is compatible with.
Are your items all boxed with instructions?
Phones: See Grading System above.
Games: All Games will be sold in their original box, however the instruction manual is not guaranteed. All PC CD ROM games which require a serial key will come complete with instructions.
DVDs: All DVDs will come complete with original box.
Consoles: All consoles will come complete with the original box, unless ‘Unboxed’ is stated in the product title. These will be in excellent condition unless stated as follows:

You do not need to bring ID to sign up for Exchange Membership.
Note: Exchange Membership allows you to trade-in all items except mobile phones. If you want to trade-in or sell mobile phones, you will need Full Membership.
Full Membership Requirements
Selling to CeX is fast friendly and fair. Most exchanges don't need ID. If you're exchanging a Phone or selling anything for cash you need a full CeX membership, which is free.
In England, Northern Ireland and Wales full members must to be at least 16 years old (18 in Manchester) and be able to present ONE of the following ID :
